Bumblebee Jasper is formed from a mixture of Indonesian volcano lava and sediment. The name, "Bumblebee Jasper is actually somewhat of a misnomer as actual jasper contains Chalcedony, which is a microcrystalline quartz. Instead, Bumblebee Jasper is made primarily from finely dispersed Realgar, which gives the stone a vibrant red, orange, and yellow color, as well as Pyrite, which gives its deep black tones.
Bumblebee Jasper is actually quite new! It was only discovered as recently as 1990 on the Indonesian island of Java. Since then, the popularity of this mineral combination has continued to grow as more and more people discover this magnificent mineral.
As a metamorphic stone that is made from both igneous and sedimentary mineral deposits, Bumblebee Jasper has come to symbolically represent our power to grow, adapt, and change. It is believed by many to aid us in resetting our energy centers, assisting us with new beginnings and aligning our true life purpose, ultimately helping us to achieve our highest and best self.
